Tang-Saget School in Kampot e.V.
is a project close to the hearts of Friedhelm Tang and Birgit Saget. The idea for this association was born at the birthday party in Portugal in 2023 and has now been realised as a registered association.
School education
Access to education improves local people's chances of achieving higher social and economic standards.

Raising awareness of issues such as health and the environment, especially with regard to mangrove protection Provision of learning materials, student clothing, bicycles, school fees
T.E.C.destination
Expansion of the school, for which land must be acquired and additional classrooms built. In addition to English lessons, Chinese courses are also to be offered.

Why we are supporting this project with your help
In 2012 and 2014, Friedhelm drove the Lotus Rally in Cambodia and got to know Babette and her foster son Kakada, who had set up some small rooms on Kakada’s parents’ farm to give children the opportunity to learn English and computer science after Khmer school, where only the Khmer language and basic arithmetic are taught, in order to expand their career opportunities.
Friedhelm was enthusiastic about this project and so Friedhelm and Birgit visited Babette and Kakada in 2015 and the idea of building their own school on the other side of the road was born. Read more
